Weterings strives for a sustainable world. Our products are made of plastic and are usually used underground for decades. After their lifetime, the material can be granulated and reused.
There are more ecological alternatives for almost all our products.Read more
Energy consumption
Because our plastics are moulded, they have to be melted first. As soon as the fluid matter leaves the machine, the cooling process starts. Therefore, the production process of plastic pipe and hose requires a lot of energy. All our equipment is electrically heated and Weterings has made the switch to renewable energy sources.Read more
Development aid
We help with the development of Third World countries. Not only by making donations to existing (NG) organizations, we have a lot of pleasure and satisfaction in actively supporting local producers. We do this, for example, by sharing knowledge and surplus equipment with them.
Zero-waste
Our factory does not create any production waste. The fall out products made during starting and stopping of machines and when changing materials etc. lead to a structural flow of unusable product. The material from these fall outs is reprocessed in-house into regranulates with which we make new products.Read more
Wood for palleting
Weterings uses a considerable amount of wood for packaging PVC pipe.
Our suppliers have proved that they only supply us with timber from regulated forests within the EU that complies with all relevant EU directives. The sources of this wood are checked independantly.Read more
Project CO2
All products have a CO2 footprint. And that also applies to ours. We are currently working on adapting our ERP systems to calculate, record and report the CO2 impact of all our products.
