Shortly after the Second World War, Henk Weterings began converting old war equipment into agricultural machinery. Located in the rapidly developing heart of Dutch horticulture, Weterings developed his company.

Weterings was soon consulted by a nearby company that experimented with extrusion of plastics. The service and maintenance of these machines by Weterings have led to an acquisition of this activity. Ten years ago, management changed and Weterings Plastics and Weterings Mechanisatie were given new owners. Although they are separate, the two companies continue to work together remotely under (almost) the same name and logo.

Recently Weterings Plastics became part of the Hexatronic Group.
